Beware of the Wolves

salvation Apr 21, 2021

“Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people. For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.” (Jude1:3-4,NIV)

It is very sad how some Christians have turned into wolves in sheep clothing. Godless people, have secretly crept into churches and societies, twisting Biblical truths to justify their own opinions, lifestyles, and perverted behaviors. These supposed 'Christian brothers and Sisters’ practice occultism, sexual immorality, impurity, idolatry, witchcraft, gayism, lesbianism, gambling, lying, and shamelessly impregnating our young ones right infront of us.

It is equally sad how we all look on and think it is the duty of others, or Pastors to speak about these vices.

Friends, if we don't speak up, God will judge ALL OF US for excusing, tolerating, and promoting sin. In the book of Ezekiel 33:8, the Lord has warned us about the implications of our silence in the face of evil - “When I say to the wicked, ‘You wicked person, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak out to dissuade them from their ways, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.”

The sad truth is, parents have stopped training their wards at home, and expect the church and schools to solely carry this responsibility, forgetting that Christian education and any other education begins in the home, These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” ( Deuteronomy 6:4-9)

Another sad truth is that we avoid studying the Bible and though the Gospel is being preached every day, through various media, we just listen, but do not hear, nor obey. We have thus become gullible and susceptible because we are not grounded in the truth, which is our Lord Jesus Christ.  Many people are easily influenced and lured into these vices because of economic, social and emotional needs. Let us all rise up and consciously look amongst us, we will find people who need help in various ways. Let us have interest in the souls we have all been entrusted with, and continue to intensify teaching everyone at the least opportunity to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

May our lives be a reflection of Godliness and purity. "For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ."(Titus2:11-13).

I pray that we will NEVER take the grace of God for granted and sit back unconcerned for evil to triumph.

MHB 300, Stanzas 1&2

1. BREATHE on me, Breath of God; Fill me with life anew, That I may love what Thou dost love, And do what Thou wouldst do.

2: Breathe on me, Breath of God, Until my heart is pure; Until with Thee I will one will, To do and to endure.
