EFFECTIVE TIME WITH THE LORD.
"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed." (Mark 1:35)
The time described in the text could be around 3 to 5am, when sleep is often sweet. It is also a time of peace and tranquility. A time when the body is usually rejuvenated and the senses are alert.
Waking up around this time may be difficult, but with deliberate, conscious and a sustained EFFORT to do this daily, it will become a constant practice. In our pursuit to build a strong relationship with the Lord, we need to prioritize our time to commune regularly and personally with Him in prayer and through His word.
Yes, we can commune with the Lord anytime during the day, but we must learn to first speak to our father and hear from him before we set out to do anything, as it is written in Proverbs 5:3- 6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." I encourage you to TRY Jesus' time slot. Wake up at dawn, find a place where you can be alone with the Lord. Commit to the LORD all your thoughts, and he will establish your plans.
BUILD YOUR PERSONAL ALTAR.
